About Brain Tumours

Information on the brain, brain tumours, their diagnosis and treatment, possible side effects as well as a note on sources of help and support.

The brain is a complicated and fascinating part of human anatomy, which many of us only understand at a very basic level.

A brain tumour is composed of abnormal growths of tissue (cells) found inside the brain itself.

The symptoms of a brain tumour will depend partly on its size and type, but they are predominantly determined by its location.

The three main treatments are surgery, radiation and chemotherapy.
