Corporate Involvement

Whether you are part of a large organisation or a small local business, a partnership with Taylan's Project will benefit your company in a number of ways and fund vital research into brain tumours to help us find a cure.

There are several ways your company can get involved and help raise funds and awareness for brain tumours.

By helping us, you will inspire and motivate your employees and have a positive impact on them and your customers.

From corporate partnerships to payroll giving, there are many ways we can work with your company.

Here are four great reasons as to why it’d be great for your business to work with us:

  1. You’ll help to make a huge difference in the fight to find a cure for brain tumours
  2. It will generate positive PR and show your commitment to your local community
  3. It will boost team spirits
  4. It will strengthen customer loyalty

So, why not consider some corporate fundraising and get your company involved with Taylan’s Project – Brain Tumour Research? We would love to hear from you.

Your company can help to support us by:

  • Adopting us as your ‘Charity of the Year’
  • Providing sponsorship
  • Instigating corporate giving
  • Encouraging staff to raise funds by offering a 'matched funding' scheme
  • Setting up a ‘sponsor a day’ initiative
  • Taking part in one of our campaigns such as ‘Wear a Hat Day’
  • Giving a gift in kind
  • Displaying a countertop products box and/or collection tin
  • Organising regular fundraising activities within the workplace
  • Assisting staff with a 'payroll giving' scheme

We will aim to provide you with:

  • Regular contact
  • Fundraising materials such as posters, t-shirts, balloons and collection tins
  • Countertop campaign products like pin badges, wristbands, car stickers and collection tins
  • Support on local fundraising events where possible
  • PR coverage
  • Links and updates from our website, Facebook and Twitter

Charity of the Year

Choosing us as your Charity of the Year is a great way for your company to work together and boost team spirit and staff morale, whilst fundraising for us. Encourage your staff to take part in challenges as individuals or teams and take part in key events like Wear A Hat Day.

Sponsorship

We are always looking for new sponsors to sponsor an event, or part of an event, to raise funds for research into brain tumours. This will generate positive PR for your organisation and increase your brand awareness.

Corporate Giving

You can show your commitment to us by giving a tax-effective corporate gift and receiving tax relief by deducting the amount donated from pre-tax profits at the end of your financial year.

Matched Funding

If your company offers matched funding, agree to match your employees’ donations, or the amount of money that they may have raised during a challenge or fundraising event.

Sponsor a Day of Brain Tumour Research

Finding a cure for brain tumours is likely to take years of research, and research costs money. A dedicated centre focusing on a three year programme of brain tumour research will require £1 million per annum. Put simply, over 365 days a year, that’s £2,740 per day. £1 million per year will pay for a team of researchers and support staff, headed by a research fellow, plus the materials that they require. So, why not sponsor a day to aid these efforts, or maybe sponsor a day every year (the possibilities are endless)?

In return, your organisation’s logo and event will be displayed on our ‘Wall of Hope’ calendar at the University of Portsmouth’s Centre of Excellence, as well as on our website and the ‘Calendar of Hope’ on Brain Tumour Research’s website. You can choose the day you wish to sponsor, which may have particular significance to your organisation (perhaps to remember the day you held a big event, or to commemorate the anniversary of a colleague that you may have lost to a brain tumour). You will also receive an engraved plaque in recognition of your support, which you can display at your organisation. To discuss exactly how you can help, please contact us.

Wear a Hat Day Campaign

MWH_Images_Eatme_02.jpgarch is Brain Tumour Awareness Month in the UK and we would like you to get involved in our national 'Wear a Hat Day' campaign. The next date has been set for Thursday 29th March 2018 so start planning!

It's simple – wear a hat for the day and donate £1! Get those thinking caps on and get creative! You could give a prize to the most creative hat, sell cakes, hold a small raffle – there’s plenty of scope to have fun! Posters and literature are available to help promote your day, including collection tins, badges and boxes, if required. Put the date in your diary, get planning and let us know if you think that you would like to get involved. Your support is vital and hugely appreciated.

Get everyone together and organise a physical event such as a cycle trail, a swimathon or a Wii fit tournament.  On your own or as a team, try something challenging such as running a marathon, climbing a mountain, or attempting something mentally demanding such as a firewalk.  The lists and opportunites are endless.  Click here for more information

Host for Hope

HFH_Logo_01.jpg

Get everyone in the workplace together and hold a cake sale or 'big lunch', in return for a donation, as well as everyone contributing cakes and food from around the world for you all to enjoy.

We are part of the only national charity in the UK dedicated to putting 100% of the funds raised from our campaigns into supporting sustainable and continuous scientific research into brain tumours at Centres of Excellence. Our mission is to collectively raise £7million a year to fund seven centres around the UK.

With brain tumours being the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under the age of 40 in the UK, we need your help and we ask you to join us and help find a cure.

Host for Hope can help you plan the perfect gathering whilst supporting a fantastic cause.

Give a Gift in Kind

Supporting us doesn’t always mean having to make a financial contribution. Donating a gift in kind is a great way of supporting our fundraising efforts and helping us save time and money, so we can further our work.

Your products or services may add value to our events such as our annual Fun Day or our Charity Ball. For example, you may be able to provide prizes for a raffle or auction, or a desirable venue.  Support our events by offering to provide refreshments.  Or you may decide to volunteer your professional services or skills to help with our fundraising efforts.

If you’d like to donate something or you are not sure if we can accept it, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help.

Countertop Products

Display one of our countertop boxes and support us by selling our wonderful items, or simply display one of our collection tins.

To find out more information on any of the above, or to tell us how you would like to get involved, please contact us so that we can help to fund the fight against brain tumours together.
