Shane completes the Blenheim Triathlon

Shane and Tim 2015.JPG

Huge congratulations and well done to Shane Angus for completing the Blenheim Triathlon consisting of a 750m swim, 19.8km bike, 5.4km run, once again this year and for raising money for Taylan’s Project!  During this year’s Crystal Ball, Shane kindly pledged that he would take part in the £500 challenge and true to his word (like many others!) he did it!

Tim Brown, who was also a guest at this year’s Ball, completed the Blenheim Triathlon getting around 14 minutes quicker than Shane (dare I say!) and also made a very generous donation towards Shane’s fundraising efforts.  Thank you Tim and well done to you too!

Shane said he found the swim in the lake a bit of a struggle this year, and I quote “a combination of poor, non existent preparation and getting older didn’t help the situation!” However, his ride was his fastest in 7 years and his run was ‘average’ to his previous years.  I still bet it was fast!  A huge achievement in our eyes and we are always in absolute awe of those who compete in Triathlons, so well done to you both!

With the help of Tim, work colleagues and matched funding from Euro Food Brand, Shane yet again raised over £500 for vital research.  Thank you to everyone who donated.

Shane and his family have been a huge support to not only us over the years but also to Taylan’s Project and we thank them for everything they do for us. x
