Funding for research into brain tumours
petiton report 2016.jpg

On 14th March 2016, at the launch of the House of Commons Petitions Committee report, we saw the issue of greater funding for brain tumour research receive the attention in parliament it truly deserves for the first time ever. This is an incredible milestone, and we thank each and every one of you who made this a reality.

We now look towards the parliamentary debate, which we can announce has been set for April 18th! As Helen Jones MP and Chair of the Petitions Committee, Maria Lester who started the e petition in memory of her brother and Sue Farrington Smith - Chief Executive of Brain Tumour Research, all gave powerful and moving speeches today, the sense of forward momentum was clear -- we must seize this moment!

In order to ensure this debate has maximum impact, we need to make sure as many MPs attend as possible. You can actively help by contacting your MP and urging them to attend by using this letter template, adding your own story where indicated.
